Dear User,
this notice describes, pursuant to and in accordance with art. 13 of the EU Regulation 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter GDPR), the manner in which ARTES 4.0 - as Data Controller - processes the data provided by the User through the website www.artes4.it.
The processing of personal data will be based on the principles of lawfulness, transparency, fairness and protection of the User's privacy and rights, always in accordance with the national and European legislation currently in force.
Data controller

Type of data collected
The personal data subject to processing are those provided by the User and those that, if any, will be acquired in the course of the relationship between ARTES 4.0 and the same User.
Specifically, the data processed through the website are as follows:
- navigation data. The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website may acquire, during their normal operation, some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This category of data could include the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given to the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters related to the User's operating system and computer environment. This data is used for the sole purpose of receiving anonymous statistical information about the use of the site and to check its proper functioning and is deleted immediately after processing;
- Personal data provided by the User through the "Contact Us" section. Through the appropriate form, the following are acquired: first name, last name, e-mail, company owned, industry sector and type of the same, company role held and any other data that the User enters in the "request" section. This data is used exclusively for the purpose of carrying out the User's requests;
- Personal data collected as a result of the User sending missives via electronic mail to the e-mail addresses indicated on the site in order to receive information, or request a specific service. In this case there is the acquisition of the sender's address, necessary to respond to the request, as well as any other personal data included in the missive. This data is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling the User's requests;
- personal data provided by the User in the "Notices" section within the "Download the Notice and Participate" area. The following are captured through the appropriate form: first name, last name, e-mail. This data is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling the User's requests;
- personal data provided by the User in the "Calls" section within the "Login to the portal to submit your project" area. The Retecompetencecenter4-0-Italy Portal provided by CINECA Consorzio Interuniversitario, located at Via Magnanelli 6/3 - 4033 Casalecchio di Reno (BO), allows users to create an account to manage their applications. For more information, we invite you to consult CINECA's Privacy Policy, available within the Portal. All information entered by the User in applications for participation in ARTES 4.0 calls, including common, special and judicial personal data, is processed for the purpose of carrying out activities for statutory purposes only and in the interest of the entity applying for participation;
- personal data, including "special" data, contained in applications sent via PEC, in response to calls for personnel selection published on the site in the special section "Work with us" or in general in CVs that may be received at the e-mail addresses on the site. In such a case, the Owner-in accordance with the provisions and guidelines of the Guarantor-will provide the information on the processing of personal data at the time of the first useful contact with the candidate;
- Personal data provided by the User within the "Blog" in the "Comments" section. First name, last name, e-mail and any other personal data that the User enters in the space dedicated to his/her comment may be acquired;
- Personal data provided by the User within the "Blog" for subscription to the Newsletter. First name, last name and e-mail will be acquired by filling out the appropriate form;
- Personal data provided by the User for participation in Webinars and Training Courses promoted by Artes 4.0. Through the appropriate forms, the following can be acquired: first name, last name, date of birth, social security number, residential address, e-mail, company affiliation and company role.
In the case of a fee, data on payments made will, alters, be collected.
Purpose and legal basis for processing
The data provided will be processed in accordance with the conditions of lawfulness under Article 6 of the GDPR for the following purposes:
- To execute the User's requests and respond to questions formulated by the User. In this case, the processing of collected and archived data has as its legal basis the legitimate interest of the Data Controller (Art. 6, letter f of the GDPR) to be more efficient, to give information about the services offered, as well as to improve and develop new products and services, including by sending communications pertaining to goods and services already used or similar to those already used by the User (so-called soft spam);
- To execute all contractual and pre-contractual measures taken at the request of the User concerned, as well as all related operational and management requirements. The legal basis in this case is the need to give effect to the contract or competitive procedures to which the User concerned is a party or to give effect to pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(b) of the GDPR);
- To comply with legal obligations to which the Data Controller is subject. In the latter case, the legal basis is the need to comply with legal obligations that require the Controller to collect and/or further process certain types of personal data (Art. 6(c) GDPR);
- the processing of data contained in the CVs received is lawful insofar as it is necessary to implement pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(b) GDPR) taken at the request of the data subject. The processing of "special" data is lawful on the basis of the Garante's June 5, 2019 Provision on "Prescriptions regarding the processing of special categories of data, pursuant to Article 21, Paragraph 1 of Legislative Decree No. 101 of August 10, 2018," which supplements and amends General Authorization No. 1/2016;
- upon the express consent of the User (art. 6, lett. a of the GDPR), provide updates and information about services and activities promoted by ARTES 4.0.
Nature of provision of data
With the exception of navigation data, which are necessary to give effect to computer and telematic protocols, the provision of personal data by Users is free and optional. However, with specific regard to the provision of personal data marked with an asterisk (*), failure to provide the same will result in the impossibility for the User to send the request and/or take advantage of the desired service. Providing additional data, however, is purely optional.
Place of processing
Data are processed at the Controller's headquarters and at any other location where the parties involved in the processing are located, as well as at host servers under the responsibility of bandwidth and domain providers. For more information, contact the Holder.
Method of treatment
The Owner performs the necessary processing through internal parties specifically authorized to process the data. Data processing is carried out either through the use of paper media, or through the use of electronic and computerized tools, but in any case by means of tools and procedures suitable to guarantee security and confidentiality, with organizational methods and logics strictly related to the indicated purposes. The Data Controller processes personal data in accordance with current security provisions in order to minimize the risks of destruction and loss, including accidental loss, of data, unauthorized access, processing that is not permitted or not in accordance with the purposes of collection, and illicit or incorrect use of data.
Data retention
The data are and/or will be processed for the time strictly necessary for the execution of the User's requests or - in general - to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. They will, in addition, be kept for the duration of the business, contractual relationship and also thereafter for the fulfillment of legal obligations and/or for administrative, commercial, tax purposes. Data collected for promotion purposes will be kept for up to 24 months. In any case, the User can always request the interruption of the processing or the deletion of the data.
Communication and outreach
The User's data will not be disseminated but may be disclosed and/or made available to the following parties:
- public administrations and/or private entities belonging to the ARTES 4.0 network (Members and Partners) in execution of requests made by the User or for institutional purposes;
- Subjects who have the right to access the data by virtue of provisions of the law, regulation or European legislation, within the limits and for the purposes provided for by these rules;
- companies or third party providers of outsourced services, in their capacity as independent data controllers, joint data controllers or duly appointed data processors.
Data Transfer
The management and storage of personal data collected by ARTES 4.0 takes place on servers located in the European Union. You are informed that your personal data will not be transferred abroad to countries outside the EU. In case this is necessary to provide the User with the services or to conclude a contract, we assure that the transfer will be performed in compliance with Articles 44 et seq. of the EU Regulation 679/2016 (GDPR).
User Rights
Pursuant to Articles 15 et seq. of EU Regulation 679/2016, the User - with reference to the data processed by the Controller - has the right to:
- Revoke at any time the previously expressed consent to the processing of their data;
- access the data processed by the Data Controller, obtain information about certain aspects of the processing, and receive a copy of the processed data (GDPR Article 15, Right of Access);
- verify the correctness of their data and request their update or rectification (Article 16 of the GDPR, right to rectification);
- Obtain the deletion or removal of one's personal data by the Data Controller (Article 17 of the GDPR, right to erasure);
- Obtain the restriction of the processing of their data when certain conditions are met (Article 18 of the GDPR, right to restriction of processing);
- to receive their data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and, where technically feasible, to have it transferred unhindered to another Data Controller (Article 20 of the GDPR, right to portability);
- object to the processing of their data when it is done on a legal basis other than consent (Article 21 of the GDPR, right to object);
- Propose a complaint to the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali(https://www.garanteprivacy.it/) or take legal action if you believe that the processing of your personal data is contrary to the regulations in force.
